Bishop Alvin David Venson, Sr. serves as the Presiding Prelate of True Deliverance Church of God Ministries. Known for his humility and passion for teaching, prayer, evangelism, and leadership, he is committed to guiding God’s people toward their full potential in both ministry and life.

A third-generation pastor, Bishop Venson was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late Apostle Albert Venson (1936–1998) and Mother Clara Venson. He is one of eight children and was raised and mentored for ministry by his father. He pursued theological training at Church Equipping Ministries International and earned associate degrees in both Religious Education and Business Education from Washington Saturday College. He is also a Certified Pastoral Chaplain and Counselor.

In 1995, he was ordained as Assistant Pastor and, in 1997, was consecrated to the office of Bishop by his father. Following Apostle Albert Venson’s passing on January 1, 1998, Bishop Venson became Presiding Prelate of True Deliverance Church of God Ministries, headquartered in Capitol Heights, Maryland, with locations in Bealeton and Manassas, Virginia, the 24-Hour Prayer Tower, and the Victory Drug Center.

Under his leadership, the ministry has expanded its outreach through prison ministry, community partnerships, and annual events such as Christmas caroling. He developed a youth mentoring program in partnership with John Edgar Howard School and has taught free HVAC classes to support men seeking trade careers. He also holds a Master Refrigeration License.

Bishop Venson’s greatest ministry is his family. He faithfully serves alongside his wife, Evangelist Agnes Venson, Co-Pastor of True Deliverance Church. Together, they are the proud parents of Claresa Chantelle-Louise Gamble, Alvin David Jr., and Jacob Delonte’.

He continues to honor God in all he does, believing that through God’s leadership and grace, the ministry will continue to grow and impact lives.

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer." – Psalm 19:14
